On Wed 11 October at the Art Gallery, Carol Scholes will run a two-part workshop to help you get your projects and goals turned into workable plans and achievable outcomes. You will walk away able to write credible project proposals and realistic implementation plans.

Community Vans on Mondays
Every Monday morning (except school holidays) you can catch a ride in our vans to Claris, departing 9:30AM from Mulberry Grove and Okiwi School respectively, returning around 1PM. A $5 one way or return
($2 for youth/seniors) voluntary contribution to costs is appreciated.

If you want to sit down with a professional and in confidence talk through issues you are having to deal with, Cait Devey is an accredited counsellor. Counselling for children and their families is subsidised thanks to the Ministry for Vulnerable Children, Oranga Tamariki. You can contact Cait on 021 2226410.

If you want to talk about Family Support Worker Services, Kellie Cleave is available, by appointment, Monday's in Claris, in the Annex to the Health Centre, and on Tuesdays at Okiwi Community Room, from 9am to 12pm. You can txt Kellie on 021 1280267 to confirm a suitable time.
Our services include: Youth group, School holiday programmes, Home help caregiving, Firewood, Crisis support, Counselling, Advocacy, Funding advice, Youth opportunity grant. We also act as Umbrella Group for other community initiatives.

Play team games and go skim boarding.
Tue 3rd Golf Day with Tom Hunsdale at Barrier Golf Club
Learn the basics and then play a round, followed by games.
Wed 4th Shinrin-yoku Nature Day with Vicky Kyan at Glenfern
Join us at Glenfern for a day of Nature Adventures and Creativity.
Thu 5th Music Day with Vicky Kyan and Soul O'Reilly at Claris Club
Let's celebrate the holidays with a lot of sound with Soul and Vicky. Beat, strum and sing to your hearts content, with ukulele, bagpipe and drums. Bring your own instruments!
Fri 6th Minecraft Day with Rendt Gorter at SeniorNet, followed by Beach Cleanup at Mulberry Grove.
Let your imagination loose! Bring your own computer, if you like, and don't forget suitable clothing/footwear for beach.
Mon 9th Horse Day with Pauline Bellerby at Barrier Social Club
Learn all about horses, have a go, followed by a movie.
Tue 10th Cooking Day with Lynaire Abbot at Mulberry Grove School.
Let's cook authentic street food, sweet and savoury.
Wed 11th Sports Day with Vanessa Reed at Claris Sports Club
Games galore with Tennis & Netball & Cricket & more.
Thu 12th Dance Day with Ann Way at Tryphena Hall
Discover the Joy of Movement followed by movie and games.
Fri 13th Paintball Day with Kevin Watson at Stray Possum Lodge
Team competition in the Barrier Jungle, followed by a baseball game.

Senior Activity Program Friday 25 August
The next activity will be on Friday October 27th with a trip to Okiwi to visit Jo O'Reilly for morning tea and a talk on worm farms etc, recycling and what we can do to reduce our waste. Then lunch at the beautiful Okiwi reserve. Bring a shared picnic lunch and something to sit on. Tea and coffee provided. Van will be leaving M G School at 10 am and Tryphena Hall at 10.15, with pickups along the way. Call 962 to book or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
